I like to dance the way people dance when they are alone in their bedrooms when the window shades are drawn. Arms flailing, feet stopping. The kind of dancing that happens when you stop trying to look cool, and you just let it all hang out – and then you shake it. Music thumping, bodies moving, blood flowing and my breath deep and strong -- judgment melts away and I am in love with the joy of being alive. I'm really good at dancing like that.
I work at a multi-faith nonprofit organization leading their education program. I'm a single mom -- my daughter is in elementary school and she's super cool. I'm close to my family and I have great friends.
