I'm looking for a partner in crime, not just someone along for the ride. A great sense of humor helps - I laugh at myself all the time! Can you be "in the moment" with me - put the cell phone down, leave the laptop alone? Embark on an adventure with me! Even if it's just to the grocery store. Communication is important - let me know what's on your mind!
I just got back into working out following a deadlifting injury - yes, deadlifting. I've never suffered a serious back injury like that before and it put me out of commission for a bit. So right now my body type is a "few extra pounds" but I'm definitely working on that! My motto is always "a work in progress." I participated in Chase Corporate Challenge last year, as well as Warrior Dash. I'm looking forward to Diva Dash, Warrior Dash, and the Glow in the Dark 5K over the summer. Working out tends to clear my head and help restore balance to other aspects of my life.
I'm a bit of a water bug. I love the ocean! I make due with trips to Lake Michigan when I've got free time. I'm lucky enough to have family in Florida and try to get down to Destin at least 1-2x a year. Also love the Ft. Myers area! I went to Cancun in January 2013 - it rained the entire time! Definitely going to re-do that vacation in the future. I've busted my butt over the last 10 years to get to where I am in my career and finally realized that vacation time is earned and definitely should be taken! I'm trying to setup 1-2 legit vacations a year - 5 days off, cell phone off, no laptop, disconnect from the hustle and bustle, and just recharge my batteries.
On the outside I'm a bit of a girly-girl. I like to go for the occasional mani-pedi with my girlfriends, take my time getting ready - getting dolled up, touch of perfume, etc - isn't that what initially draws men to us ladies in the first place? But I am a huge tomboy at heart. I don't mind getting dirty, I'm playful, and if left to my own devices I would wander this earth in jeans, a tank top, and flip flops.
I'm looking for someone who's got most of their ducks in a row (I don't expect perfection - we're all working on some aspect(s) of our lives), a good sense of humor, and doesn't mind doing "manly things" aka, killing spiders, ugh, i hate bugs!
