My name is Erin and I am originally from the East coast but have been here in Phoenix for three years. I work in Behavioral Health and am dedicated to my career. I am finishing a Master's in counseling with a specialization in Trauma, Abuse, and Deprivation. I have worked with children and adolescents with mental health challenges for almost ten years. It is the most rewarding career and I would not be happy working in any other field.
Like everyone else, I love to travel. I have been to most states in North America, Canada, Mexico (Eastern and Western), Belize, and Tanzania. I love to experience other cultures and my next big trip will probably be to Thailand. I have also been exploring the possibility of the Peace Corps, one of the reasons I went back for my Master's.
I am compassionate and empathetic, sometimes too much so. I am opinionated and can be stubborn, however, I am not easily angered and believe in communication as a solution to issues. I am extremely independent which is partly why I am still single. I am also a bit of a nerd, I love to learn and I often read non-fiction leisurely. I tend to have a very corny sense of humor (I get it from my mother) and I laugh easily. I have a very small and close-knit family spread all over the country from Boston to Denver to Vegas to Philadelphia! I love spending time with my family and we all travel to each other as much as possible.
I am looking for someone who is supportive, kind, passionate, and intelligent. If you don't know the grammatical difference between "your" and "you're" you might as well keep on moving! I would like someone who loves to camp and be in the outdoors but also loves to spend the weekend living a little more regally (I like to have a good time, and if I have planned for it I like to do it right and don't mind spending the money to make sure it is the best). I am a huge believer in that physical connection, energy, chemistry. If we don't have that then we might as well not waste our time!
