I am adventurous, fun, and absolutely love the outdoors. I care about my health, the environment, and continuously improving myself. I'm currently a graduate student at the University of Rhode Island, Kingston campus in the College Student Personnel program. I will be earning my master of science degree this May and eventually plan to move on to a doctorate in Higher Education Administration. I will use my doctorate to work as an upper administrator at a university somewhere in the world (for example, possibly a Dean of Students or Vice President for Student Affairs). Aside from my main professional goals, I have just in the past 6 years or so become passionate about my health and wellness. I am still not where I would like to be, however, am working hard to get there. I try to make healthy, environmentally conscious dietary choices (I'm a vegetarian) and would like to someday call myself an avid runner and exercise enthusiast. I'm getting there and now view my health and wellness as a main priority in my life after coming from a pretty unhealthy upbringing. I may even someday become a yoga/group exercise instructor and do some life coaching stuff on the side. I've experienced a few challenges in life (as have most) that have lead me to value personal growth and advancement over letting the crappy stuff in life consume me.
I originally come from the Golden State of California and moved out to the East Coast to explore and study. I'm not exactly sure where I am headed next, but I do have the travel bug and plan on making world exploration a part of my life from here on out. Ok, enough about me...
I'm looking to meet someone who is driven, caring and humble. Someone who sees beyond themselves and is interested in the welfare of others and the planet. I would like to spend my life with a partner who is willing to admit their faults, embrace them, and to grow from them. I would enjoy someone who is resourceful, handy and creative. Additionally, I want to be with someone who is active, loves to travel and explore new places and things, and enjoys nature and wildlife. I'm currently planning on serving in the Peace Corps starting Fall 2013, but I figure it's never bad timing to meet new people and to see what happens. If this short description of me and what I'm looking for intrigues you, let's meet up and see where it goes.
