I believe that honesty goes a long way, so here it goes:
I'm a girly-girl, but not the high-maintenance type. I enjoy getting all "dolled up" to go out, but equally enjoy lounging around in my jammy pants watching movies. Being the mother of two young boys, I have a well-rounded knowledge of monster trucks, Spongebob, zombies, and farts - so I can carry on a conversation about almost anything. That being said, I also value intelligent meaningful conversation! I love a sense of humor. Sarcasm should have its own font. My all-time favorite tv show is Saturday Night Live. It would be a dream come true to be able to watch a live taping. I'm not athletic. I wish I were, but I am not. I played basketball in grade school because I was tall for my age, but I never quite got the "assertive" thing that's required for competitive sports. Thank goodness for Zumba! I found Zumba in 2012, and it has become my outlet - some would say I'm addicted. They are probably right. Deep down, I'd love to be a runner, because those chicks can eat anything!! Alas, I find running quite intimidating, so I refrain. It's quite the "in" thing to be doing right now, so hopefully one day I will be able to master the art. ;) My masters degree is in social work, and my passion in life is people. I'm very fortunate to have a career in a helping field that allows me to make a difference in my own little corner of the world. I haven't done much traveling, but I would love to see other parts of our beautiful planet. I've been to Hawaii, but never in another country. I love the beaches and the mountains. I think that the most beautiful beaches are along the Gulf Coast. Gorgeous white sand and crystal blue water. I believe in equal parts work and play - one without the other never makes anyone truly happy.
I'm looking for a connection. I believe when two people connect, there is a special spark - and it's either there or it's not. I'm looking for someone to share that spark with. I don't require perfection or wealth or prestige. I just want something that's comfortable, easy, and normal as well as passionate and exciting. Yes, I enjoy a few drinks now and then, but I am definitely not looking for a drinking buddy. I think a man in a tie is severely attractive - but he must also be able to don a t-shirt and jeans! As you now know, I'm not "sporty," so don't be offended when I don't join the summer league softball team with you. I will, however, be your biggest fan! I do enjoy attending sporting events! I really love going to Cardinals games and Blues Hockey. I don't understand hockey, but the atmosphere and excitement is unmatched. I do require honesty - and respect - and flexibility. I don't do drugs. I don't drink a lot. But I do enjoy life, and I enjoy my family and friends. I'd like to find the perfect mix of a semi-old fashioned gentleman, and a modern-day man (someone who will open doors, pay for dinner, surprise me with flowers, but who is also forward-thinking, equality-minded, and not intimidated by goal-driven women). I think it's important to continue to set goals even as we reach them. Set goals, work toward them, reach them, set new goals. My goals for 2013 include health and happiness, as with every new year! I'm looking forward to this new year upon us, as I know there is much to be accomplished and celebrated!
