I recently moved to Marin and although I am a city girl at heart and feel most at home in SF, Marin has pleasantly surprised me and surpassed my expectations. There is nothing better than riding my bike from home and being on the trail in minutes. The chickens clucking in the mornings are an added bonus (luckily, no rooster!). I regularly visit friends in the city for my “city fix” and overall feel my life is pretty well balanced.
I’ve done just a bit of travelling and look forward to doing more. My favorites so far are NYC in the fall, Colorado (Breckenridge, not Aspen), and northern Italy. I’ve explored the Caribbean enough to say “been there, done that”. My next trip…Istanbul. You game?
I am fortunate to have a job that I love (except on hectic Mondays!) and great friends and family nearby. I have two great kids who are 10 and 12 and are hands down, two of the best things I’ve done. When I am not with them, my favorite things are a Saturday morning mountain bike ride, trying new restaurants, sipping on a good red wine and laughing with friends. Oh, and I have to have my daily cappuccino!
