Some random things about me:
I laugh a lot. I'm left-handed. I drive too fast. I am a marine biologist who studies deep-sea biology. I spend anywhere from 3-6 weeks a year at sea for work (not all at once) and love it. I like communicating science to the public. I like to cook healthy food. I do a lot of yoga. I like to run (let's call it jogging). I am signed up for my 3rd half-marathon in April. I play softball in the spring and summer. I am a baseball fan and love going to games. I love listening to TED talks and NPR. I'm sometimes a nerd :) I'm from New Jersey, but lost my Jersey accent quite a few years ago. I like to travel and pride myself in packing light. I spent a month traveling mostly solo in SE Asia in September and learned a lot about the world and myself. I love being on or near the water, but I also enjoy exploring new cities. I love hiking in the forest and most of my runs are either on the beach or in the redwoods. I love cats, dogs, kids, friends, family (not necessarily in that order).
What I'm looking for in a partner:
Someone who is open-minded. A guy who is easy to travel with. A guy who has many diverse interests (some that overlap with mine and some that may not). A guy who wants to teach me and learn from me. A guy looking for a partner to be his best friend. A guy who is active. Someone who lets me be my own person and likes that I am. Someone who's not afraid to have intellectual discussions. A guy who is educated either by the world or by school, or both is even better!
I am happy with my life and I know who I am. I would really like a guy in my life who knows who he is. Aren't we all just looking for someone we can have fun and laugh with, talk to, learn from? Let's see if we click!
