Ok, so here's my elevator speech....well....maybe if there are like 30 floors and lots of stops, because I might go off on a tangent. I'm fun, extroverted, smart, confident and sexy, and all my friends would say that my laugh is contagious. I LOVE to laugh. I will pretty much laugh at anything - especially since having my two sweet and hilarious little nuggets. Besides them, the things that make me laugh the most are my family ? especially my crazy-in-a-good-way sister and nephews - my ever-so-entertaining friends, random people every day, photobooth, damnyouautocorrect and comedic geniuses - Reggie Watts being my current favorite. I have an eclectic taste in music - world music to hip hop to house to traditional flamenco - pretty much anything but mainstream country (although I like old Hank Jr.'s stuff). Oh - and Kenny G'esque elevator music, I'll have to say, may be a deal breaker. Put me in a rubber room.
I start out with that stuff because life can be so stressful - things don't always go the way you expect or want them to - and being able to laugh at myself or the situation makes the hard times seem shorter. I definitely have a trove of stories -- and I will unleash them periodically... My best friend and I being chased by a waiter all over Barcelona; then in Geneva, running out of gas & ditching the car, inadvertently, on the train tracks where the dinner train would soon pass, all dressed up in high heels and little black dresses, pushing a little stick shift Euro-car in stilettos; my sister and I stuck on a bus in Brazil with no money and not a single bank will take our credit cards....
Most of my time is spent having quality time with family and juggling that time with my challenging and fulfilling job, with some travel thrown in - both for work and to meet up with friends all over the world. I'd like to do more dancing (salsa, samba, deep house), more volunteering, and more traveling - with a fun, adventurous man who can communicate with anyone, even if he doesn't know the local language, who is kind, extremely intelligent, makes me laugh, is introspective a open-minded, and who is equally at ease at a kids' recital, a backyard pig pickin' and the club de jour in Vegas.
If you laughed a little and despise smooth jazz, we might get along. :)
