Hi, I'm Gillian. I am 27 years old, originally from southern MA and currently living down the Cape. I recently graduated from veterinary school and am working in a small animal practice. I have always been passionate about working with animals, and it was my dream come true when I graduated. I love my job, and don't really consider it work.
Being a new graduate, I spend a lot of time still studying but I have recently started picking up hobbies that I had neglected while in school, such as photography, cooking/baking, skiing in the winter. While I am not a huge outdoorsy girl, I lived the Caribbean for 2 years (not the glamorous life you'd expect, lived in a basement apartment with centipedes and fire ants, and considered myself lucky if I had power and/or running water) so I can rough it. I am up for anything.
I love hanging with my family (my sisters truly are my rock) and friends. I love living down the Cape. I love anything involving water (sailing, water skiing, scuba diving). I don't live to work out, but I do routinely go to the gym.
I have lived in Canada, the Caribbean, and the South. I have been to Europe once and would LOVE to get back sometime soon. Love, love love to travel!!
Being in school, in a profession dominated by females, and moving every so often has made it difficult to meet someone. I am pretty independent, priding myself on being able to handle things alone. But I am still looking for that special someone. I am looking for someone dependable. Coming from a big family, reliability and dependability are a big deal for me. And I hold myself to the same standards. I can be reserved at first. It is hard for me to open up to someone new, but when you have my trust, I give 100%. I like a guy with a sense of humor. I don't like drama. Life is too short to waste on drama. I am easy going, willing to try new bars/restaurants or just hanging out at home for movie night.
