Single mother with two amazing, intelligent, well-behaved kids who are my number one love and priority. I am not looking for a serious relationship at this time in my life but I'm open to the possibility with the right person. As a single mother I can't always make romance my primary focus however, if we meet and have chemistry you will have my full attention, you will feel special, we will laugh and have a fabulous time. I seek a mature, confident, attractive, happy and witty man who has reached his goals but always setting the bar higher.
I love to laugh, enjoy outdoors together. I'm fun-loving, outgoing, up for adventure. I'm very social, love entertaining and cooking for my friends and family. My friends describe me as having contagious laughter, warm and friendly, lighting up a room with a positive attitude with a sassy edge. I am very passionate, affectionate and caring to the man in my life. I do believe that a relationship needs nurturing so if you have difficulty expressing yourself I may not suit you. Women can never have enough shoes or compliments. :-) You can't be thin-skinned or sensitive. Life is too short spent worrying about how others perceive you. Be yourself! I prefer the real you! No games or petty jealousies. Emotional retards please move on.
I grew up in Oklahoma, recently moving back to the area after living in New Orleans for 13 years. I love the diversity, culture, food, music, art and architecture of New Orleans. The formative years I spent in the Big Easy exposed me to a rich culture, interesting people, music, food, and a lifestyle best described as "laissez Le Bon temps rouler". I also lived in New York City in my twenties. I love to travel and explore new places and cultures. If you've been looking for someone to share a love of spontaneous exploration, I'm your girl. I love a great 5-star restaurant, but willing to try anything new. Some of my best meals have been from a tiny hole in the wall or from a street vendor. You never know where you'll find a gem.
I am a Marketing and Communications professional recently making the switch from non-profits in the arts to the corporate world. I'm very open-minded, independent and non-judgmental. Occupation and education aren't as important to me as drive, ambition, intelligence and a love of family. I am blessed to live near my parents and siblings. Family and close friends are the beginning, the middle and the end.
Physical activity is important to me and something I would hope to share with a partner. I do several cycling trips for charity per year. I played competitive roller Derby for five years but need to replace it with a sport that is kinder to my body. I have participated in a sprint tri, half marathon and look forward to training for full competitions. I have my body type listed as curvy, although I do consider myself athletic. God gave me an hourglass figure and I do my best to keep it healthy.
