I married young and was in that marriage for 18 years. It didn't work out. From that marriage I was blessed with 2 children. Both are almost out of high school and 1 of them lives with me full-time. Being a mom to them has been the most important job I've ever had.
I'm a social butterfly. I enjoy meeting new people, hosting a bbq, spur of the moment day trips, shopping with friends, a night out or a night staying home. I like attending sporting events and concerts. Some weekends I prefer to just hang out at home cooking, watching movies and cuddling on the couch! I definately enjoy life and like having fun.
I have a good work ethic, I'm honest, have a good sense of humor and like to surround myself with people who do also. Friends are important and I have a great group of friends. It's nice to meet a guy who also has a good group of friends. Things that turn me off are laziness, gossiping, and negativity.
Being in shape is important to me. I work out practically every day whether it be in the gym, walking, running, biking or water sports in the summer. Its equally important that the guy I'm with also cares about staying fit . Dressing up, high heels and glam are my favorite for going out, but I also love kicking it at home in my sweats, no make-up and hair in a pony-tail.
What I like in a guy: He’s affectionate, and not afraid to show affection in public. A man who is confident in himself, but not cocky or arrogant, and I like a guy with a sense of humor who can make me laugh. Laughter is medicine for the soul and life is too short to take everything so serious! He takes care of himself physically by working out or some other form of physical activity. He shares some of the same interests as me and respects me as an individual. Is a good communicator and also a good listener, and can care about me on my best and worst days. Not looking to rush into a serious relationship, nor a 'hook-up', but rather someone who wants to get to know me, become friends and see where that leads!
The way I see it is when the right guy comes around, I'll know it. Someone I'm crazy about and who is crazy about me, who cares about me as a person and about my life. A woman knows when she's wanted for all the right reasons, by the right guy.
One of my favorite things to do is travel. I like adventure so exploring new places and cultures is exciting! Even a spur of the moment weekend road trip is fun. I love anywhere tropical and I've been to Mexico several times: Cancun, Cabo and on cruises to Mexico. Beaches are my favorite. My dream is to someday go to Australia and Hawaii. I would also like to go to places like Vegas, New York and Europe.
So this is me, taking a chance on this dating web-site. Not something I pictured myself doing, but I'm taking a chance and maybe something good will happen, maybe it won't. At least I'll know I gave it a try...so here it goes!
