I've got a lot to be grateful for, including a great job, great family, close friends who live close by, and 2 sweet little boys who crack me up on a regular basis.
I love comedians, and would like to go to Zanies more often to see them live. Dane Cook is one of my favorites, but Chris Rock also makes me laugh out loud. I'm into smart comedy overall. My sons are also becoming small comedians, although they don't know yet that I'm laughing at them. Shhh.
I'm always on the lookout for new people to meet, especially ones who are willing to go see the latest action or frat-house (raunchy) humor movie, since my female friends are always dragging me to see Jennifer Aniston romantic comedies. I'm not 100% sure, but I think I can predict the ending of those with a fairly high degree of accuracy.
I really like the Reacher books by Lee Child, but I think the Lord of the Rings books would be my favorites. Completely disagree with casting Tom Cruise in the Reacher movies.
My favorite all-time movie is Zombieland, although Bridesmaids runs a close second. What's Your Number and The Hangover rank fairly high, too. You'll notice that there aren't any romantic comedies listed......I'm not a huge fan, although I can accommodate if that's your thing. Every now and then there's an interesting one :)
I haven't been watching much tv lately, but when I do it's usually shows like New Girl, The Following or How I Met Your Mother.
My music taste is eclectic -- I like Maroon 5, Sugarland, Breaking Benjamin, Shinedown, Blake Shelton, 3 Doors Down, Stone Temple Pilots, Theory of a Deadman, etc. So -- mostly rock, alternative, and some country.
While my taste in music, books, and movies may lead you to believe that I'm a tomboy, you'd only be partially correct. I tend to dress mostly in skirts and dresses for work, and am not afraid of the color pink.
I'd love to try new things.....I haven't been camping or on a hike since I was a kid, I've never ridden a horse, and (despite the fact that I live in Music City) I don't often go see live music.
My closest friends would say I'm generous to a fault, since I'm usually the first one to call if they're in a bind or need a place to crash. I love to feel needed, whether it's to help someone launch a new job search or to attempt some sort of physical labor (attempt being the operative word since I'm not exactly handy, and in fact am kind of klutzy). Not surprisingly, I'd imagine, my best friends would also say that I'm a wee bit sarcastic -- but not in a mean spirited way.
A sense of humor is an absolute must for me, as well as some level of chemistry in order to be anything more than friends.
