Clicking this button may prevent you from receiving email from other members (figure 1).

If you click the "Spam" button by mistake, please take the following steps to ensure that you receive your email.

  • Click on the "Spam" folder on the left-hand side of your mailbox.
  • Click on the Match.com email that you mistakenly reported as spam.
  • Click the "Not Spam" button at the top of your mailbox (figure 2).

Add Match.com email addresses to your AOL Contact list.

  • Click "Contacts" on the left-hand side of your mailbox.
  • Click "New".
  • Click "New Contact".
  • Enter yourmatches@connect.match.com in the "Email 1" field (figure 3).

Make sure emails sent to you by Match.com members are not automatically deleted.

  • Under Settings, click "Spam Controls" on the left-hand side of your mailbox.
  • Choose one of the filters under "Spam Filters by Address" (We recommend you leave the setting at "Allow mail from all senders"). No other action is required.
If you choose anything OTHER THAN "Allow mail from all senders," please follow these additional instructions:
  • Under "Blocked Mail" select "Deliver blocked mail to Spam folder" (figure 4).
  • Click Save.
ALL emails sent to you by Match.com members will be delivered to your "Spam" folder INSTEAD OF your Inbox. This is only recommended if you choose any setting other than "Allow mail from all senders". Emails from Match.com may contain photos. If images do not appear in your email, click the "always for this sender" link next to the heading "Show images and enable links" at the top of the message (figure 5).

Never click the "Report Spam" button.

Clicking this button may prevent you from receiving emails from Match.com members (figure 1).

Never click the "Junk" link when an email from Match.com is selected.

Clicking this link may prevent you from receiving email from ALL members who contact you - not just the specific member who sent the selected email. Emails marked as junk will be automatically sent to your "Junk" folder and deleted after a period of time. (figure 1).

This will NOT guarantee that email sent to you from Match.com members will be delivered to your Inbox. Please check your Spam folder regularly for email from members.

To ensure that Match.com communications are not filtered into your "Junk/Spam" folder, select the Add/Save to Contacts function in your email browser and follow the appropriate instructions. Please contact your email provider for further assistance.

Many email providers have "Spam" or "Junk" functions that will automatically delete or block emails that you report as "Spam" or "Junk." Clicking these buttons may prevent you from receiving email from ALL members who contact you — not just the specific member who sent the selected email. For best results, avoid using these functions with Match.com communications.

If your email looks distorted or if the links within the email do not work, your email provider may automatically send emails to your inbox with the images and links turned off. Many email providers provide functions that allow you to see images and links in your email; it’s often just a matter of clicking a button or two. Please contact your email provider for assistance on allowing images and links to display in your email.
