In his own words

I think you can tell a lot about a person by the places their mind wanders when they have time to daydream. If you spot a fossilized seashell laying in a creek-bed of a local park, would you think to yourself "that's a funny looking rock" and keep walking till you reach your destination? Or would you kneel down to take a closer look and wonder how long it's been there and what the world must have been like when the little creature died. Giant extinct animals we'd consider sea-monsters would be swimming overhead in the vast inland sea that covered Ohio. It would be another 100 million years before the first mammals appeared on earth, and 350 million years before you knelt down next to the little fossil. You could try to imagine how many strange and wonderful life forms have emerged and passed in that amount of time, but you'd fail. But if you do try to imagine such a thing, then there's a good chance I'd want to meet you In 2006 I worked as a Park Ranger at Isle Royale National Park. I took a break after working a few years as an MRI tech (brain/spine photographer). Now I'm working at the Cleveland clinic as an MRI tech again. Ideally I’d like to work in the field of natural resources, but I think I've found stability and happiness in my current occupation. I'm drawn to the natural world and trying to understand it to give perspective on my life, but I'm not an animal rights activist or a tree hugger. I love animals, but I also think their yummy ;) And just to be fair, I would like my body to be processed and turned into puppy chow when I die :) I would classify myself as a skeptic. I love to think critically about everything in life, especially religion and politics. I know that sounds dry and boring, but I just feel the need to occasionally talk about them because of the tremendous impact politics and religion has in the world. For example, there are so few people that know or even care about America's role the history of the Middle East. When people from that region attack us, we Americans are quick to condemn them without asking why. But when WE attack them, we fully expect them to understand why we're there. There will never be peace until we care more about justice than revenge. Oh, and I also like cheese and very bitter beer :) I'd like to meet anyone who has an open and inquisitive mind and likes to explore new interests and engage in a variety of physical and mental activities. I don't mind smokers, but it definitely puts a limit on how close I want to get to someone. I'm most compatible with liberal minded people. If you voted for Bush, we'd probably have lots to argue about :) I believe relationships can take on many forms and still be mutually beneficial. They are like investments; you get the best returns when your investment has had time to mature. So ultimately, I'd like to find someone I can have a future with. But, meanwhile, being alone sucks and if someone comes along who for one reason or another doesn't fit the profile of a lifelong partner, but who is nonetheless attractive, trustworthy, and empathetic, then I wouldn't mind pursuing a friendship that would be physically and mentally stimulating :) Note to any religious person who feel the need to respond simply because I'm atheist: I'm more than happy to discuss religion, but please don't write unless you are actually willing to read the book you claim to pattern your entire existence after.
