In his own words

Heyo, I'm Steve. I won Best in Philly 2 times for a thing...Ask me about it! David Foster Wallace. George Saunders. The Marriage Plot. Hunger Games. Freedom. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. Middlesex. Modern Family. Big Bang Theory. Awkward, limbs-everywhere dance moves. Elevation Burger. Steve's Steaks. Sandwiches. More David Foster Wallace. Jonathan Franzen. Plato. The Allegory of the Cave. Philosophy. Family. Friends. Smart phone Compulsions. Philosophy. Irish-ness. Slovak-ness. The 700 Level. Eagles on Sunday. Gym as penance. Scranton. I love to read, and Infinite Jest is the best book of all time. I also like to write. Maybe I'll be famous someday, but that's not really what I'm going for. I perform stories sometimes and have a lot of fun doing it. Sometime I'm funny. I teach reading and writing to adolescents, which is awesome. They are great and way cooler than me. They taught me the cat daddy. I'm kind of a selective movie buff; I really enjoy Woody Allen movies. Steve's is the best Cheesesteak place in the city. I enjoy going to the gym, although I tend to have a lot of awkward experiences there. I have a twin brother. He's a lot more athletic than I am, though I beat him in a city championship in tennis once and he beat me over the head with his second place trophy. Key word(s): SECOND PLACE. I wouldn't be functioning if it weren't for my parents, they are the best I could possibly ask for. PS, this quote is from the best writer ever (David Foster Wallace) from one of the best short stories ever (Good Old Neon) It's long but awesome. "The truth is you already know what it's like. You already know the difference between the size and speed of everything that flashes through you and the tiny inadequate bit of it all you can ever let anyone know. As though inside you is this enormous room full of what seems like everything in the whole universe at one time or another and yet the only parts that get out have to somehow squeeze out through one of those tiny keyholes you see under the knob in older doors. As if we are all trying to see each other through these tiny keyholes. But it does have a knob, the door can open. But not in the way you think...The truth is you've already heard this. That this is what it's like. That it's what makes room for the universes inside you, all the endless inbent fractals of connection and symphonies of different voices, the infinities you can never show another soul. And you think it makes you a fraud, the tiny fraction anyone else ever sees? Of course you're a fraud, of course what people see is never you. And of course you know this, and of course you try to manage what part they see if you know it's only a part. Who wouldn't? It's called free will, Sherlock. But at the same time it's why it feels so good to break down and cry in front of others, or to laugh, or speak in tongues, or chant in Bengali--it's not English anymore, it's not getting squeezed through any hole." --David Foster Wallace, from Oblivion
